The law of Florida makes all communications between a client and his or her attorney and those working for the attorney confidential.  Those working for the attorney at this office are investigators, interns and sometimes volunteers.  These confidential communications cannot be disclosed to anyone and neither your lawyer nor his staff can be required to testify in court about confidential communications.  Therefore, it is very important you tell us everything about your case, the good and the bad.

Conversations you have with others such as your girlfriend, boyfriend, mother or father are not confidential.  Anything you say to these people may be used against you in court.  The best thing you can do is do not talk to anyone about your case except your attorney and staff at the Public Defender’s Office.
